1.                   With funding from the Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF) of the African Development Bank, World Vision International (WVI), Somalia Country Program is implementing a project named; “Increased Resilience of Vulnerable Households, especially Women and Youth, in Puntland, Somalia in the Face of Climate Shocks”

 2.               World Vision Somalia program office is seeking to engage a Consulting Firm to carry out the following fixed-term assignment within the framework of the above-named project

 3.     The Project is implemented in Puntland, Somalia with the following objectives:

                          i.        Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA): Supporting women and youth farmers to adopt resilient and sustainable farming methods.

                         ii.         Natural Resource Management (NRM): Promoting sustainable management and equitable access to land, water, and rangelands.

                        iii.        Communal Rangeland Rehabilitation: Restoring degraded ecosystems and improving shared pasture resources.

                        iv.        Inclusive Governance Structures: Strengthening local institutions for participatory and equitable decision-making in climate adaptation and natural resource governance 

4.                   The services under this assignment include the following activities and address nine interlinked component including;   Social and Economic Analysis

b.    Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (CVCA)

c.     Baseline Study / Survey

d.    GEDSI and Gender Gap Analysis

e.     Opportunities and Constraints Analysis

f.      Stakeholder Analysis and Mapping

g.    Policy and Legal Framework Analysis

h.    Institutional Analysis

i.      Risk Analysis

Skills and qualifications

1.                     Qualifications of consultant:

The firms shall have minimum 7 years of experience in similar assignment. Detailed qualifications requirements are provided in the Terms of reference (TOR).

2.                   Application Requirements and Submission

Applicants must submit two (2) separate documents:

(i)            Mandatory Requirements – registration, qualifications, 3 references of similar work completed in the last 10 years.

Technical Proposal, not exceeding 10 pages (minus annexes)
