Consultancy Description – Development of Key Circular Economy Training Curricula (Plastic Recycling, Solid Waste Management, and Green Packaging in Somalia)
Save the Children Somalia is seeking a qualified consultancy firm to design and develop comprehensive, market-driven training curricula focused on Plastic Recycling, Solid Waste Management, and Green Packaging in Somalia. The assignment aims to strengthen technical and entrepreneurial skills within the circular economy sector while enhancing employment opportunities, environmental sustainability, and private sector growth.
The consultancy firm will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive market and skills needs assessment, engaging relevant stakeholders, reviewing existing training materials and industry practices, and developing competency-based curricula that respond to current labor market demands and emerging green economy opportunities.
The developed curricula should incorporate practical, learner-centered, and industry-relevant approaches that equip participants with the knowledge, technical skills, and business competencies required to participate effectively in circular economy value chains. The curricula should also promote environmental stewardship, innovation, resource efficiency, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices.
In addition to curriculum development, the consultancy firm will prepare facilitator guides, participant manuals, assessment tools, training resources, and implementation recommendations. The assignment will also include capacity building for instructors to ensure effective delivery, adaptation, and long-term sustainability of the training programs.
The consultant will work closely with Save the Children and relevant stakeholders to ensure that all curriculum products are contextually relevant, gender-responsive, inclusive, and aligned with Somalia’s economic development priorities, environmental sustainability goals, and workforce development needs.

Applicants are required to submit:
Company profile and registration documents.
Technical proposal outlining the proposed methodology and work plan.

At least three references from comparable consultancy engagements.
