Consultancy Description – Curriculum Development (Specialized Leadership Curricula)
The National Leadership Academy (NLA) is seeking a qualified consulting firm or experienced individual consultant to lead the design and development of specialized leadership curricula tailored to Somalia’s governance, public service, and institutional development needs.
The consultant will be responsible for conducting training needs assessments, reviewing existing leadership development frameworks, engaging key stakeholders, and developing competency-based curricula for emerging leaders, mid-level professionals, and senior executives. The assignment will focus on creating practical, inclusive, and context-specific learning programs that strengthen strategic leadership, ethical governance, public sector effectiveness, and institutional performance.
The consultant will develop comprehensive curriculum packages, including curriculum frameworks, training manuals, facilitator guides, participant handbooks, assessment tools, and recommendations for implementation. The curricula should incorporate modern leadership approaches, adult learning methodologies, gender-responsive perspectives, inclusive governance principles, and digital learning components where appropriate.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Senior Curriculum Advisor, the consultant will ensure that all curriculum products align with NLA's vision of cultivating competent, ethical, and transformative leaders capable of driving sustainable development, accountable governance, and social cohesion across Somalia.
