Role Overview
We are hiring talented male and female voice-over artists to record structured health content for our IVR system. This role is critical to our mission, as the IVR platform serves as a primary touchpoint for many of our users.
You will be working directly from our professional recording studio at the Baano headquarters in Mogadishu. Your voice will be instrumental in ensuring:
• Clear communication, especially for low-literacy users.
• Trust-building through a professional, empathetic, and reassuring tone.
• High-quality, engaging audio content that educates and informs.
Key Responsibilities
• Record IVR audio content in a clear, professional, and engaging tone using Baano's in-house studio equipment.
• Deliver all content fluently in standard Somali.
Follow structured scripts and strict pronunciation guidelines provided by our medical and content teams.
• Maintain consistency in tone, clarity, and pacing across all recording sessions.
• Collaborate with the content team to re-record and refine audio based on feedback.
• Ensure all final audio meets our studio-quality standards before submission.
Requirements
Proven experience in voice-over work, narration, radio broadcasting, or media.
• A strong, clear, and confident voice delivery.
• The ability to communicate complex health topics in a simple, relatable, and understandable way.
• Native or fully fluent Somali speaker.
• Ability to work on-site at the Baano office in Mogadishu (this is not a remote role).
• Ability to meet monthly content production targets consistently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience recording content related to health, education, or public awareness.
• Previous experience working with IVR systems or audio-based educational platforms.
• Ability to speak and record in other regional Somali dialects is highly desirable.
• A background in media, broadcasting, or corporate communications.
Content Expectations
• Ensure every recording is clear, accurately paced, and error-free.
• All content will be reviewed and approved by the Baano medical team prior to publishing.
