he UNOPS Somalia Country Office (SOCO) is seeking a Procurement Senior Associate to support our high-impact operations in Mogadishu. Under the direct supervision of the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of procurement and contract administration services across a diverse portfolio of programs.

Since 1995, UNOPS SOCO has been a trusted partner in Somalia, managing major infrastructure and procurement initiatives, including over $75M in non-lethal support to security actors and over $20M in regional hospital projects. This role requires a results-oriented professional capable of working with minimal supervision to ensure all procurement activities comply with UN rules, regulations, and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Transaction Management: Process Purchase Orders (POs), Contracts, and Long Term Agreements (LTAs). Ensure all submissions to the CPC (Contracts and Property Committee) are complete and accurate.

Planning & Sourcing: Collaborate with Project Managers to develop procurement plans, conduct market research via the UN Global Market Place, and maintain a robust local supplier database.

Tendering Support: Prepare and issue tender documents (EOIs, RFQs, ITBs, RFPs) and lead the evaluation of bids for less complex contract awards.

Contract Administration: Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, from fund obligation in the ERP system to vendor performance monitoring and safe delivery of goods.

Knowledge Sharing: Organize training for personnel on procurement best practices and contribute to the UNOPS global Community of Practice.
