Finn Church Aid (FCA) is Finland’s largest development cooperation organization and the second largest humanitarian aid organization in Finland. FCA is a founding member of ACT Alliance and works to support vulnerable communities in fragile contexts by promoting peace, livelihoods, and quality education.
FCA has been operating in Somalia since 2008, implementing programs in peacebuilding, governance, reconciliation, education, livelihoods, and resilience across multiple regions.
FCA is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Procurement & Logistics Officer to be based in Mogadishu.
The Procurement & Logistics Officer will support and deliver all FCA logistics and procurement needs for project implementation in the Mogadishu office. The role ensures compliance with FCA and donor procedures, accurate documentation, and timely operational support to program teams.
Support project teams in preparing procurement plans aligned with FCA and donor requirements
Review purchase requests for completeness and compliance
Provide guidance to program teams on specifications and documentation
Conduct market surveys to identify suppliers, prices, and availability
Maintain updated supplier lists and market price records
Collect quotations and technical information
Review and process purchase requisitions
Prepare and issue RFQs, ITBs, purchase orders, and draft contracts
Ensure competitive tender processes
Prepare bid analysis documents
Act as secretariat to the procurement committee
Ensure value for money and proper price negotiations
Process supplier payment requests in coordination with Finance
Maintain procurement records and tracking sheets
Ensure compliance with FCA and donor regulations
Maintain updated supplier database
Monitor supplier performance
Prepare and execute contracts
Maintain contract tracking systems
Monitor contract implementation and closure
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 3 Years of working experience in Procurement and Logistics
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Ability to work independently
Strong analytical and solution-oriented skills
Ability to work in high-risk security areas
Proficiency in English (oral and written)
