UNOPS Somalia Country Office (SOCO) is a critical partner to the Government of Somalia, delivering high-impact projects in health, rule of law, security, and infrastructure. We are seeking an Administrative Senior Associate to drive efficient office operations in Mogadishu.
Under the supervision of the Head of Support Services, you will ensure the cost-effective utilization of office resources and provide high-quality technical and administrative support. This role is essential for maintaining the operational excellence required to manage UNOPS Somalia's diverse portfolio, which includes major initiatives like the Joint Police Programme and large-scale urban resilience projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Coordination: Oversee standard office transactions and monitor team performance against service agreements to ensure full compliance with UNOPS regulations.
Logistics & Asset Management: Supervise systems related to shipments, customs clearance, travel, and facility management. Ensure accurate physical verification and reporting of inventory and assets.
Financial Monitoring: Implement control mechanisms for administrative expenditures and assist in the planning of financial resources and budgets.
Protocol & Liaison: Coordinate staff registration and secure host government authorizations. Liaise with local authorities regarding privileges, immunities, and office space matters.
Fleet Management: Supervise transportation services, including vehicle maintenance, fuel monitoring, insurance, and the oversight of external transportation contractors.
Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate training sessions on logistics and asset management for personnel, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
