Legal Action Worldwide is hiring a Communications Coordinator to support and strengthen its communications, storytelling, and digital engagement across East Africa programmes including Somalia, Ethiopia, Sudan, and South Sudan.
The role is based in Nairobi and focuses on promoting LAW’s humanitarian and human rights work through social media, events, campaigns, media relations, photography, video content, and advocacy communications.
Develop regional communication and social media plans
Create engaging content for websites, newsletters, and social media
Cover events, advocacy activities, and field missions
Take professional photos and videos during field visits
Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers
Support campaigns, exhibitions, reports, and public events
Maintain relationships with journalists and media networks
Monitor communication performance and improve outreach strategies
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Media Relations, or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in communications, journalism, or advocacy
Strong experience managing social media and producing content
Good video editing and photography skills
Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage
Experience with NGOs or humanitarian organizations is preferred
Must have legal right to work in Kenya
Salary: KES 3,660,000 – 3,780,000 yearly plus benefits
Contract: 12 months, renewable depending on funding
