e Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) is an independent, non-political humanitarian organization established in 1963. It operates through nineteen branches across Somalia and provides essential humanitarian and rehabilitation services nationwide.

SRCS is seeking a qualified Receptionist to join the Administration Department at the SRCS Mogadishu Rehabilitation Center. The role supports the Rehabilitation Program for Persons with Disabilities in Somalia.

Overall Job Purpose

The Receptionist will manage front desk operations, ensure proper patient registration, maintain accurate records, handle cost-sharing collections, and provide administrative support while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure reception is open and properly managed during working hours

Receive visitors and provide information about rehabilitation services

Register new patients and arrange appointments with Physiotherapy and Orthopaedic departments

Maintain patient confidentiality and secure sensitive information

Update records and conduct data entry in PMS5.1 and DCMS systems

Prepare monthly statistics reports for the Orthopaedic Department

Collect cost-sharing fees and submit funds to the Finance Office monthly

Maintain filing systems for patient records

Ensure reception area is clean, organized, and professional

Submit monthly activity and financial reports to Admin & Finance Manager

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

Experience

Proven work experience as a Receptionist or Front Office Representative

Experience working in a busy office environment

Skills & Competencies

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using office equipment (printers, fax machines, etc.)

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Good English required)

Professional appearance and attitude

Strong customer service orientation

Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure

Commitment to Red Cross and Red Crescent fundamental principles

High integrity and teamwork skills

Reporting

The Receptionist will report directly to the Admin & Finance Manager and will submit:

Monthly reception activity reports

Monthly cost-sharing financial submissions
