The company is seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Marketing Manager to lead and transform its marketing function. This is not a traditional marketing role focused on social media management, but rather a strategic leadership position responsible for building scalable marketing systems that directly contribute to revenue generation and business growth.
The successful candidate will report directly to executive leadership and will be responsible for transitioning the organization’s marketing approach from fragmented activities to a structured, data-driven, and performance-oriented system. The role demands a leader who understands key financial and marketing metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), Return on Investment (ROI), and conversion rates, and can align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for multiple business units within the group
• Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and pricing strategies
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable marketing plans and quarterly execution roadmaps
• Build and manage performance marketing campaigns focused on lead generation and conversion optimization
• Optimize the full customer journey to improve retention and reduce acquisition costs
• Align marketing initiatives with sales objectives and take shared accountability for revenue growth
• Establish and implement a robust marketing analytics framework for tracking and reporting performance
• Shift focus from vanity metrics to measurable commercial KPIs such as ROI, CAC, and conversion rates
• Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
• Standardize and strengthen brand positioning across all group companies
• Oversee corporate communications and public relations strategies
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team
• Establish clear processes, accountability systems, and performance standards within the department
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and execution of business strategies
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Proven experience at a senior marketing level such as Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, or equivalent
• Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of how marketing impacts financial performance
• Demonstrated expertise in performance marketing and analytics, including CAC, LTV, ROI, and conversion tracking
• Ability to design long-term strategies and ensure effective execution
• Deep understanding of Somali market dynamics and consumer behavior
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business environment
What Success Looks Like:
• First Month: Conduct a full audit of existing marketing activities, budgets, and ROI, and present a 90-day strategic plan
• Within 3 Months: Implement a centralized marketing dashboard tracking key performance indicators across business units
• Within 6 Months: Deliver measurable improvements in lead generation, conversion rates, and reduced customer acquisition costs
