Role Objective
We are seeking 5 creative, digitally fluent, and community-driven social media Officers. Your objective is to deploy a unique, aggressive multi-channel strategy that sets Horn Jobs apart from traditional job boards. You will turn live platform listings into highly shareable social media content, build dedicated digital communities eager to receive immediate opportunity alerts, and promote our premium advertising and recruitment services to reach millions across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Live Listing Advertising: Actively extract, design, and broadcast the latest jobs, consultancies, tenders, and training opportunities posted on the Horn Jobs website across all social media channels to ensure maximum visibility for employers.
- Targeted Community Building: Launch, nurture, and scale highly organized digital sub-communities (e.g., specialized Telegram channels, WhatsApp alert groups, Facebook groups, and LinkedIn networks) tailored for job seekers, consultants, and businesses eager to receive real-time updates.
- Service & Product Advertising: Develop and publish engaging digital marketing campaigns highlighting Horn Jobs' core ecosystem benefits and commercial services, including:
- Our Advertising Services: Promoting Horn Jobs as the ultimate platform for organizations to publish opportunities.
- Recruiter Portals: Demonstrating our advanced Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for automated applicant shortlisting.
- NGO Funding Hub: Showcasing tailored grant and tracking resources for LNGOs.
- HornPro Network: Showcasing our specialized consultation pipelines to elite regional experts.
- CEEJOB & 3PPP: Promoting the Prosperity Pathfinders' Programme to maximize enrollments.
- Audience Insights & Surveys: Conduct regular polls, surveys, and market research via social media platforms to capture regional employment trends, analyze job-seeker pain points, and gather valuable feedback from employers.
- Expert Session Production: Package, schedule, and promote live or recorded career development workshops, training masterclasses, and expert panels hosted by senior Horn Jobs consultants.
- Community Management & Listening: Regularly monitor, review, and respond to incoming comments, direct messages (DMs), and community inquiries across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp.
- Operational Insight for Execution: To execute the mandate of "reaching millions," create a 30-second TikTok/Reel explaining the top requirements for that specific role, driving massive organic traffic back to your main website.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: Degree or ongoing studies in Communications, Journalism, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, IT, or a related field.
- Multi-Channel Strategy Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of the algorithms, video structures, and engagement tactics specific to LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Meta networks, and instant messaging ecosystems.
- Content Production Skills: Basic to intermediate proficiency in graphic design (e.g., Canva) and mobile video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InVideo) to make job postings visually distinctive.
- Community Management Instincts: Proven ability to spark conversations, moderate online groups, run interactive digital surveys, and maintain high engagement rates.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced fluency in written and spoken English. Strong command of Swahili, Somali, or Amharic is highly preferred.
