Gaalooge Agro Business Enterprise is a leading agro-business company in Somalia specializing in seed processing, farm mechanization, and agricultural equipment distribution. With over six years of experience, the company is an authorized dealer of Case IH in Somalia and supplies a wide range of agricultural machinery and implements sourced from India, Turkey, and Europe.
The company is headquartered in Mogadishu with a regional office in Baidoa and operates across multiple regions including Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, and other parts of Somalia. Gaalooge is committed to supporting farmers and improving agricultural productivity through modern machinery, maintenance services, and technical training.
Gaalooge Agro Business Enterprise is currently seeking a skilled Technician to service, maintain, repair, and support agricultural machinery across its operational regions. The technician will also be responsible for assembling new tractors, conducting pre-delivery inspections, and providing post-delivery installation and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of tractors and agricultural machinery
- Carry out warranty repairs in compliance with OEM (CNH and others) standards
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for tractors and equipment
- Conduct field visits to provide servicing and reduce equipment downtime
- Install and calibrate new machinery including tractors, sprayers, planters, and implements
- Train farmers and equipment operators on safe use and basic maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and repair reports
- Support technical training programs and field demonstrations
- Collaborate with parts, operations, and marketing teams
- Be willing to work in Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, and other regions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent 3+ years hands-on experience)
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in repairing tractors and agricultural machinery
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, welding, and basic electronics
- Familiarity with farm mechanization tools and workshop safety standards
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Proficiency in Somali and English (additional languages like Arabic or Italian are an advantage)
- Willingness to travel and work in remote areas across Somalia and Somaliland
- Valid driving license and passport are an added advantage
- Strong willingness to learn and upgrade technical skills
Working Conditions:
The role requires frequent travel across multiple regions including Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, and surrounding areas. The technician must be adaptable to field conditions and capable of working independently in remote environments.
