SOS Children’s Villages Somaliland is currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer to be based in Burao.
The Project M&E Officer is a critical role responsible for establishing and maintaining the M&E system for the effective implementation of emergency projects. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and interpretation to provide actionable insights for program improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
System Management: Implement the organization’s M&E guide, tools, and templates, ensuring all field activities meet minimum SOS standards.
Data Quality & Research: Lead monitoring and reporting research activities, including baseline, feasibility, and end-line evaluations. Conduct routine data quality verification and spot checks.
Accountability: Manage the Beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM), ensuring feedback is captured via hotline or in-person and addressed in a timely, transparent manner.
Field Monitoring: Conduct Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM) and site visits, submitting detailed reports with findings and recommendations to the project coordinator.
Capacity Building: Identify, train, and manage a network of enumerators and interviewers, ensuring they are briefed on ethical data collection and technical tools.
Learning & Documentation: Document lessons learned in the official log and promote a culture of two-way learning across the project teams.
